Paddy and his guys did an excellent job of building a wall and landscaping our garden in awful conditions in February.We get compliments regularly from passers by how beautiful a job it is I would recommend Paddy to anyone requiring landscaping.

Paddy has years of experience with all types of driveways and this was reflected in the work done for us here in Dunoon. The driveway slopes in three directions and it was remarkable how he was able to lay the bricks just so. Paddy was very attentive to our requirements and gave us much good advice. He was fair and flexible with pricing. We would recommend him without qualification.
Paddy recently built a base for our greenhouse. He did a really fabulous job and the man who built the greenhouse was very impressed. It was perfectly level which wasn't easy in our garden which is on a slope. This is the second time we have used Paddy as he previously laid crazy paving. I would totally recommend this company.
Amazing job on my mums front door steps. Paddy is very professional and kept me up to date on what was happening as my mum is elderly. Lovely extra tough by getting her new gravel to make the front of the steps look good again. Definitely will use again and would 100% recommend.
We have twice before received outstanding service from Patrick and his team, first to monoblock the front drive and then about a year later to fit a wheelchair ramp. The ramp was also monoblocked to blend in with the drive and looks fantastic. So when we decided to have more work done we didn't even consider asking anyone else to do the job. We had our garden shed removed and a very solid concrete hard standing installed.we had the back garden levelledand Patrick took up and relaid our uneven flagstones in the back garden (at no extra cost), the back fence replaced which involved removal of banking. He also removed tons of soil from our side garden to level it out and to widen the footpath by replacing the existing flagstones once again with Monoblock. He finished the job by building a wall and installing a gate. Patrick never stops working and does a really thorough job and I cannot praise him or thank hom enough. Paddy and his team had to endure extremely cold temperatures and wind to complete the job. Heavy snow and rain prevented a continuous run at the job. The finished result is a tribute to his skill, well done Paddy
Paddy has been most helpful putting in a new washing post, digging grass up and putting drainage in and then gravelling in my back garden.He is a most friendly guy and very obliging. I am very pleased with the work that he has done and would not hesitate to get him to do more work if necessary in the future.
Mr McCann has completely transfigured our drive. It is beautiful and he did it in the time he said it would take, without too much disturbance to us or the neighbours. He kept us informed at every stage, was courteous and obliging. We are very pleased with the result and would recommend him to anyone. Our new drive has been admired by many passers by! He will return in a few weeks to finish off when the sand between the bricks has settled down. One last point in his favour - no radio.
Paddy was employed to mono-block the front area of my house. He completed it in good time and did an outstanding job. The price was fixed from the start and Paddy did more than asked for, he even built a new door step. Drainage was put in and works well, the flow of water is away from the house towards the drain. Not only is is functional, it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye to the point that visitors and neighbours have made very positive comments about the job. As a teacher I will be recommending Paddy to my colleagues in the staff-room when we talk about jobs that we have had done without hesitation. Outstanding job Paddy and thanks.
Could not recommend Paddy enough. He has done a fantastic job of clearing and hardcoring our back garden at a very competitive price. He has gone over and above fixing problems that were not anticipated. Paddy keeps you well informed and is coming back to do more work for us.
My partner is in a wheelchair, so we needed to get a level access ramp built to the property so she could keep her independance. We looked online for a while for not only a cheap rate but for a trustworthy person to do it. I called up many companies but no one had a good price or sounded trustworthy on the phone, as I knew they would be here a couple days and needed to make sure my partner would feel comfortable with them around. The Paddy answered he was polite, well mannered and a good laugh! I thought excellent this will be perfect. Paddy not only did an amazing job but went above and beyond by dropping the curb at the bottom of the driveway for us which we hadn't thought about. Now my partner can go out and about with ease and not worry about needing help all thanks to this wonderful man! 100% would recommend too everyone I know!
I have found “Paddy” a very helpful and well mannered builder. My experience with his work is that he has done some excellent jobs for me and my neighbours. He does not waste any time on any jobs, despite weather conditions making his work outside very difficult at times. Aside, he negotiates pleasantly with the neighbours, which is very important with jobs when there is the need for access alongside shared driveways or other properties. He is very tidy when clearing up after a job. I regard this activity as important as getting a job finished. Best wishes from a well satisfied customer.
Our garden path had crumbled away and now we have a new path and pond - what a transformation. We were given a quote for the job and materials.They worked hard and kept us informed. A great job.
Last spring Patrick McCann did a wonderful job laying a Mono Block Drive for us (see previous review). Unfortunately we now need a ramp at our property and because Pat did such a good job last time and at a very reasonable price, I approached him again. Exactly 2 weeks later we have a Mono Block ramp which fits in perfectly with the driveway. We had not considered getting a new drive last year until I saw work that Pat had done for a number of neighbours which looked wonderful. I asked for a quote and could not believe what was quoted. When we needed this ramp I did not hesitate to call him again for a price. I am well known for haggling over price but on both occasions I accepted the quote straight away. A first class job at a very reasonable price, what else can I say but thank you to a gentleman and master craftsman.
We asked Paddy and his team to build us a new driveway from scratch which was always going to be difficult as there was no access, it was on a steep gradient and the area was full of slate and old tree roots. Due to my mobility issues I also asked if he could incorporate a ramp from the drive up to the steps to my front entrance. All of this was no problem to him and he quoted me a fair and very reasonable price especially with the size of the area to be prepared and the amount of material that was going to be needed. Payments were done in stages at his request as and when the different types of material were required and he kept us updated at every stage every day as to what was being done on that day and what the plans were for the next day. He recommended that a retainer wall be built to give the drive some stability and we did not expect the level of quality and craftsmanship that went into the dry stone wall being built from scratch - this wall itself is a piece of art and a real statement piece. He also laid the drive in a sweeping motion with red brick and again with such care and quality especially in the preparation to ensure it was flat and to get the gradient just right. He also reworked the paving on the access to the new drive with such care and quality. Before the job began he took us to see some of his previous work in the local area as he is rightly proud of the work he does from start to finish and we are very proud of the finished product and would highly recommend Paddy and his team to anyone looking for any landscaping or construction work. We are going to ask Paddy to landscape our garden at the rear in the next few weeks and we cannot wait to see the end result. Mr. McCann and assistants stripped out our old damaged tarmac and mono blocked the whole area. He also constructed two paved plinths for planters in front of the house. He kept us fully informed at all times and carried out an excellent job for a very fair price. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
I am very pleased with everything about my new driveway. It was not an easy task because of the round round walls jutting into the driveway, high manhole covers and pipes appearing above ground level. The job was done efficiently and we are so pleased with the result. Another bonus is that the price quoted was reasonable and is what we were asked for at the end, no extras.
The garage entrance was sunken broken tar, weeds and bluebells colonising it. I wanted real stone that would not fade or get grouted with grime, like modern mono bloc . Mr McCann sourced bluey silvery whin stones and inserted them on a sloping site like a jigsaw puzzle as if they had always been there for the horses to clip clop through ay my 19C house.

Following a very competitive quote we asked Mr McCann (Paddy) to mono block our driveway and create a mono blocked patio in our back garden. Paddy and his team have totally transferred our garden. After we had drainage put in it desperately needed some finishing (putting it mildly!). We now have a beautiful fully turfed, edged and tidy space to enjoy for years to come. Bernie and I could not be happier and would recommend this team to anyone.
